Colin Powell, tired eyed Former secretary of State during the Bush administration, Distinguished and experienced, he made the speech in front of the UN in February 2003 that convinced most of the world Saddam had WMD, and laid the ground to invade the country. It has since come out he had serious misgivings about the speech and was one of the rare members in Bushes cabinet to argue against the war. Famously he quoted the "pottery barn rule" you break it you own it, referring to Iraq. I wonder if at the time he thought it would apply to him more than anyone else in the administration? Now out of politics he recently endorsed Obama and most likely gave him the extra boost to put the first African American in the white house. A title that many said Powell would achieve, unfortunately he broke his reputation with the UN speech and now owns the consequences.
